Route optimization helps you plan the most efficient delivery path, saving time and fuel costs. Root Mobile offers both pre-optimization through the web app and real-time optimization on your mobile device.

Routes may be pre-optimized by office staff using the web application before you begin your day. This provides a baseline route plan based on:
- Customer locations and addresses

- Vehicle capacity and constraints

For even more accurate routing, you can enable automatic route optimization directly on your mobile device.
Enabling Route Optimization
To activate mobile route optimization:
- Open the Settings tab in your mobile app
- Locate the "Optimize Routes" toggle
- Enable the optimization feature
Automatic Optimization During Start of Day
When route optimization is enabled, the system will automatically reoptimize your delivery route each time you perform Start of Day. This provides several advantages:
